River 215 | 18-22 Ton Amphibious Excavator
According to our sales data from the past few years, the 20-ton class amphibious excavators have been our best-selling models. They are widely used in applications such as dredging, landscaping, and river delta deepening. RIVER’s customized RS215-A pontoon undercarriage is designed to perfectly match 18-22 ton swamp excavators. With its standard design, it allows an independent maximum working depth of up to 1.8 meters. As a specialist in precision machining, RIVER also manufactures and supplies optional long-reach booms ranging from 9 to 13 meters in length.
On many projects, this class of excavator is selected for more complex construction tasks, particularly in water depths of 2–4 meters. Over the years, we have provided customers with a two-piece hydraulic spud system to secure and stabilize the excavator platform, ensuring both efficiency and safety during operation. However, slight vibration during digging remains unavoidable—a common challenge faced by many domestic and international competitors.
In 2021, responding to customer feedback, RIVER introduced a new generation four-hydraulic-spud system. The four pile spuds are each driven by an independent hydraulic motor. Operators simply press a button in the cab to automatically deploy and erect the spuds via hydraulic cylinders. This significantly enhances the undercarriage’s operational stability and further ensures overall safety. RIVER has patented this innovative design.
